Playing Rush Poker

by Bob Barlow on August 27, 2010

Rush Poker is a new, innovative spin on the way Poker is played. Instead of playing against the same table of people until the tables are balanced or until you are the last player left, the players in every table are constantly changing at random. Whether you are playing Omaha Hi/Lo, Texas Hold ‘Em or Stud, the new way of playing completely changes the way you play the game.

Unless you are in a deep stack or short stack tournament, you can start the tournament with 1500 chips and depending upon your game have normal choices like Bet, Check, Fold, and Raise. That hand will continue until the end if you check, bet, raise or fold. The main difference between the Rush Poker and normal game is that once you fold you have instantly changed to different table randomly chosen with new faces.

Majority of Rush Poker competitions require a purchase. However, there are at least two such competitions in which you are able to access Full Tilt Free roll tournaments

You can also play Rush Poker at a few of Full Tilt’s many Ring Games, outside the tournament area the amount with which you want to play decided the Ring Game blinds. However, you may not leave tournament version at any time but in a ring game, you can cut your losses at any time or take your winnings, is the main difference.

Rush Poker is much more adjusted to the action minded Poker players who want to be able to get out there and play or drop their hand, instantly moving on to the next hand without the waits. You are able to see a lot more hands quickly, and are not as rushed to play less then par hands that you may otherwise play. There are a few things to note about Rush Poker, though:

Firstly, after you fold your hands together, you can’t go back into the past and check what you could have got into your hand. Secondly you will not be allowed to play against seasoned senior players until you gain more experience in every single hand of the tournament. You will not be able to tell the difference between the freshers and the Professionals. Lastly since you will be seen by most people only for a hand, they won’t be able to judge your hand on the basis of your betting. A good idea would be to play as tightly as possible since that will help you see more hands, and build up your chip stack quickly and give you a good chance.
